The rich keep getting richer while everyone else gets poorer.
Some politicians keep talking about how the government of the United States of America is founded on the Judeo-Christian ideals. Then let's consider one of these.
The ancient Israelites were aware of the problems of unequal distribution of wealth. They addressed this through the Year of Jubilee. Every 50 years, they provided for the return of property to the original owners (the tribes). This way, no one could accumulate wealth.
That's what we need to do in our modern society.
Liberals who believe in living equality--not merely theoretical equality--support Equalize Now!
Conservatives who believe in the Judeo-Christian ethics also support Equalize Now!
A day of Equalization merely resets and levels the playing field. It does nothing to impair or discourage entrepreneurship, innovation, and jobs. Instead, it promotes those activities, far more than the stagnation of vast wealth disparity.
